“There\u2019s always doubt regarding the reception of a game”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having launched earlier this year on a couple of non-Switch platforms (yeah, apparently they exist!), Sloclap’s Sifu<\/a> has garnered much praise in the months since. A punishing 3D beat ’em up with roguelike elements and other genre ingredients, it struck a chord with PC and PlayStation-owning action fans and has been mentioned throughout the year in the same breath as that everpresent gaming acronym, ‘GOTY’.<\/p>\n

The game is now out on Switch, and the version on Nintendo’s console delivers the core experience admirably \u2014 we called it “a more than valid option for Nintendo-only gamers” in our 8\/10 review<\/a>, and were pleasantly surprised to see how well it migrated to more modest, portable hardware.<\/p>\n
