There&#8217;s one exception to that rule, though: PlayStation&#8217;s live service games, which we might see &#8220;day and date&#8221; with their console releases. Considering the fact that the company has plans for <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2022\/09\/30\/playstations-10-live-service-games-what-are-they-wholl-make-them-17480789\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ten live service games<\/a> in the works, that&#8217;s a fairly major commitment to PC.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with YouTuber Julien Chi\u00e8ze, Hulst said that, &#8220;because you want to have a really strong community, strong engagement right away when you go live&#8221; with live service games, Sony might opt to release them across multiple platforms at the same time in future. So, at least a year before we get God of War: Ragnarok, then, but PC-based Destiny fans can rest assured that Sony&#8217;s purchase of Bungie shouldn&#8217;t affect them too harshly.<\/p>\n<p>Sony has, of course, undergone a remarkable shift in its relationship with the PC in the last couple of years. The company bought up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/sony-acquires-pc-port-developer-nixxes-software\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PC port-house Nixxes<\/a> in July last year, and the once-impenetrable fortress that housed PlayStation-exclusive games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Marvel&#8217;s Spider-Man, and God Of War has fallen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/sony-expects-to-earn-dollar300-million-from-pc-games-in-the-next-12-months\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sony now expects to make $300 million<\/a> from its PC releases in this financial year.<\/p>\n<p>That relationship isn&#8217;t going anywhere anytime soon, either. It was only this morning that Hulst was chatting\u2014in frustratingly vague terms\u2014about upcoming investments &#8220;to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/sony-remains-frustratingly-vague-on-future-pc-plans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">strengthen [Sony&#8217;s] expansion on to PC<\/a>&#8220;. Dataminers have also uncovered references to a possible <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/sony-may-be-working-on-its-own-pc-game-launcher\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PlayStation PC launcher<\/a> in the files of Marvel&#8217;s Spider-Man, suggesting the company has plans to stake a permanent settlement on PC shores.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of upcoming PlayStation releases on PC, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/uncharted-legacy-of-thieves-collection-releases-on-pc-in-october-with-variable-framerate-and-a-new-ui\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection comes to Steam<\/a> on October 19. We&#8217;ve also seen so many hints and leaks about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/returnal-pc-leaks-again-definitely-has-dlss-and-fsr-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Returnal coming to our desktops<\/a> that Sony really should just announce it at this point. As for The Last Of Us Part 1? Give it a year.
