Specifically, of the 1998 Windows version, which you can tell because unlike in the 1997 PlayStation original they&#8217;ve got mouths. (A mystery our own intrepid Wes Fenlon delved into in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/why-the-hell-do-they-have-mouths-a-final-fantasy-7-pc-retrospective\/\">Why the hell do they have mouths: a Final Fantasy 7 PC retrospective<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexusmods.com\/finalfantasy7remake\/mods\/1153\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polygonal Players mod<\/a> by FantasyRaider replaces Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Barret, as well as Yuffie and Sonon from the Intermission chapter, in both gameplay and in-engine cutscenes\u2014though the cinematics made with higher-definition models will show the remake&#8217;s characters. It&#8217;s super weird seeing Cloud&#8217;s Lisa Simpson hair and staircase eyebrows alongside the modern-looking characters, and wielding high-def weapons, but entertainingly so.<\/p>\n<p>To install Polygonal Players you&#8217;ll need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexusmods.com\/finalfantasy7remake\/mods\/1153?tab=files\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">download the .pak file from NexusMods<\/a> and make a ~mods folder inside your FFVIIRemakeIntergradeEndContentPaks directory to put it in. It&#8217;s a whole 6.5MB file for all those polygons.<\/p>\n<p>Polygonal Players would probably combine well with the mod to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/see-final-fantasy-7-remake-with-the-originals-fixed-camera\/\">restore the original&#8217;s fixed camera<\/a>. Meanwhile, there are of course <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/there-are-of-course-nude-sephiroth-mods-for-final-fantasy-7-remake\/\">nude Sephiroth mods for Final Fantasy 7 Remake<\/a> in a variety of styles, as well as mods that give Cloud a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/final-fantasy-7-remake-mod-gives-cloud-a-keytar-sword\/\">keytar sword<\/a>, put <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/final-fantasy-7-remake-modders-put-clown-makeup-on-sephiroth-let-cloud-wear-a-dress-for-the-whole-game\/\">clown makeup on Sephiroth<\/a>, and show off Cloud&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/cloud-strifes-modded-abs-have-final-fantasy-7-players-in-a-tizzy\/\">washboard abs<\/a>.
