Yesterday, the developer announced that the title would also be making its way to <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/news\/2022\/07\/retro-rpg-sea-of-stars-officially-confirmed-for-ps5-ps4\">Sony consoles<\/a>, and, alongside that, we got a really good look at the game&#8217;s combat.<\/p>\n<p>Thierry Boulanger, creative director at Sabotage Studio, shared a breakdown on <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.playstation.com\/2022\/07\/07\/a-closer-look-at-the-turn-based-combat-in-sea-of-stars\/\">PlayStation.Blog<\/a> of the combat, which is heavily inspired by Super Nintendo classics like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/snes\/chrono_trigger\">Chrono Trigger<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/snes\/super_mario_rpg_legend_of_the_seven_stars\">Super Mario RPG<\/a>. Boulanger said that the team had some very clear ideas of what they wanted to start with: &#8220;there would be seamless transitions from navigation to combat, no random encounters, and no grinding&#8221;.
