How about the platformers starring <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2060450\/Wanted_Monty_Mole\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Monty Mole<\/a>? How about anything else by British developers Gremlin Graphics for the ZX Spectrum?<\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t? Neither did I, until recently, when publisher Pixel Games UK started pushing a massive back catalog of old ZX Spectrum games <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/publisher\/pixelgamesuk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to Steam<\/a> spanning a variety of developers from the golden age of British computer game design on what, for many older gamers from the UK, was their first PC. Little-noticed, Pixel Games UK has been pushing out old games to Steam, consistently, for years now, but a recent burst of activity has seen dozens more added.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re talking fairly cool games here, ones like puzzle game <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2021190\/Pimania\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pimania<\/a>, which on release in 1982 could win you an actual, physical <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pimania\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">golden sundial<\/a>. Others were beloved, like the <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2006840\/The_Horace_Trilogy\/?curator_clanid=38465691\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hungry Horace<\/a> games. Yet more, like shooter <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1981540\/Penetrator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Penetrator<\/a>, made their way well outside the UK and were ported to the Commodore 64 and TRS-80 in other countries.<\/p>\n<p>Sold in 1982 by Spectrum Computing&#8217;s eponymous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/sir-clive-sinclair-the-father-of-the-zx-spectrum-has-died\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clive Sinclair<\/a>, may he rest in peace, the ZX Spectrum became the best-selling home computer in the UK.
