If it’s good enough for Mario and Marvel, it’s good enough for Metroid.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Strategy game<\/a> fans have been eating well on Switch this year. We\u2019ve gotten exciting new releases like Triangle Strategy<\/a> and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope<\/a>; as well as remasters of classics like Tactics Ogre<\/a> and Front Mission<\/a> gracing our portable screens. 2023 shows no signs of slowing down, with Fire Emblem Engage<\/a> hitting in January, as well as some promising third-party releases like Marvel\u2019s Midnight Suns<\/a> and Metal Slug Tactics<\/a>, both originally scheduled to hit in 2022 before being hit themselves with the delay stick.<\/p>\n

But still our strategy brains aren\u2019t satisfied. So we decided to compile a list of some franchises we think are ripe for a strategy\/tactics title. If Mario can make the leap, anyone can! Retro Studios once had a Zelda tactics game<\/a> on the drawing board, but there are plenty of other series \u2014 Nintendo and otherwise \u2014 that we think would be perfect candidates for a strategic injection on Switch.<\/p>\n
