From Pokéballs to footballs.
The UK boxed charts are in and this week continues the World Cup-inspired triumph of FIFA 23, with the latest entry in EA’s football series taking home the trophy once again.
It is a slightly quieter one for Nintendo this week, with the other home consoles dominating the top three spots. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet drop down a number of places once again – not that this really affects their record-breaking opening – and Sonic Frontiers continues to hang on in the top 10 after those stellar Black Friday discounts persuaded many on Switch to give it a go (the Switch accounted for 36% of the game’s total sales, while the PS5 took home 38% and the Xbox Series and PS4 made up 14% and 11% respectively).
