Amazon Prime Day gaming PC deals are coming thick and fast, and there are some great discounts on full gaming machines. The next wave of AMD, Intel, and Nvidia CPUs and GPUs is on the horizon, meaning retailers are trying to sell off gaming PCs with older components before their overshadowed. The parts in these are still will remain relevant for a dear while, so it’s worth grabbing them while they’re cheap. There’s no shame in being a generation behind, especially when it means you’re getting a tasty discount.
Deals on gaming PC deals don’t tend to be the biggest around Prime Day, but last year we saw graphics card shortages ravaging the market enough that pre-built PCs were the only real way to land a GPU. Plenty of retailers cut prices on them so PC gamers could finally fulfil their dreams, and things have been ramping up this Prime Day for a couple of reasons.
First off, the GPU shortage is finally subsiding. While we’re not quite in MSRP territory, plenty of graphics cards are damn close. That means system builders should be able to drop prices even more. Not just $100 here and there, but real significant savings.

The other factor is the upcoming next generation of graphics cards. With those landing before the year’s over, retailers are trying to get the current gen machines out the door. Pre-built machines with high-end GPUs like the RTX 3080, RTX 3080 Ti, Radeon RX 6900XT, etc. are most likely to see discounts, as they’ll be replaced first. The next generation offering is looking to be a significant performance increase over the current standard, so expect high-end machines to boast bigger savings.
Of course, the GPU makes up a huge portion of a gaming system’s prowess, but that’s not the only component firing the sales furnace. New CPUs from AMD are coming by the end of the year, too, and there is plenty of Intel’s 11th Gen CPU stock out there. On top of that, SSD prices continue to tumble, and RAM has never been cheaper. Expect plenty of deals, indeed.
